house centepedes, google image search it... yea there gross. i live in my basement and these show up all the time! how do i get rid of them??????

I'm not sure there is a way to get rid of them. We have always had quarterly exterminator services but when we lived in North Carolina, I would still see an occasional, dead centipede. Have been in the northeast for 10 years and have never seen one. Could be your area. They don't hurt anything but if you are getting so many, check with an exterminator.

Oh how I can sympathize! We have them as well. They love moist area's (hence the basement). All you can do is try to keep area's they're attracted too (the bathroom) clean and dry. They're fast little buggers too. I don't know if it works, but I just read that they hate talcum powder (baby pwder) try running a line around the perimeter of a room and see if it keeps them out.
Note to DawnB: I live in the Northeast, yeah, they're here!
