Hi, I started to take pictures as a hobby but really enjoy it...
Any idea on how to expose?
I now have a blog, please let me know what you think 'bout it?

For those who asked, my camera is a canon EOS 300D (getting old)
I have 2 objectives: standard 18-55 and a Tamron 55-200
And pics from French Guyana come from wild animals...

Had a look at some of your work Max. I must say that you've done better than I, but a couple of things I noticed - focus; the hooded crane is ever-so-slightly out. Perhaps when you're doing these, a more generous depth of field may help get that quick shot better. The flying one needed a faster shutter speed to stop the flight of that lovely bird, and I rthink that shot might have been enhanced by it. I think that's enough for one message! Might I say that I am even more critical of my own work.

they are of good quality meaning nice and sharp and have a nice depth of field, but many of them look very ametuer in my opinion. You lack a strong sense of compostion. Photography isn't just about snapping a shot of something that's right there, it's about composing an image, and in some cases telling a story, which yours don't seem to at all. Almost all of your images are head on, and the subjects are interesting, but not in the aspect of being a good photograph. It looks like you went to the zoo and said oh look he's pretty, as with the flowers too you snapped a shot; rather than looking at it and thinkng how you could make it appear in a more interesting way. I think you have potential but you really have to work on building a compostion. photography shouldn't be just about taking a shot of just one thing, of course sometimes it is, but I think you should place more emphasis on the quality of your subjects. For example a bird just sitting there is kind od boring, try to enhance the photo by focusing on it's eyes if they are striking, or get a shot with it's wings open or of the bird actually doing something, or of the setting that it is in. I hope this helps.

Your pictures are beautiful. I love the one's of the animals and the flowers/plants. I'm not really into buildings but yours were very well done. I was not fussed on the one with the people in the reflection in the glass.

By the way, I'm not a photographer so don't take my opinion too seriously.

I like them...but I think they look a bit like a whole lot of other photos I've seen. Some of them are really good! But you need to make the others a bit more unique/interesting.
I would approach magazines, and search engines like google. Be sure to copy write!

They are pretty good considering they are taken in the confines of a zoo, not an easy place to shoot. It seems that you have one important quality which is patience to not take one shot and be gone. i like the picture of the people in the glass it blurs the line a bit as to who is watching who. Your composition overall is good.

Not bad but I would be much more impressed if you had taken photos of wild animals. Anyone can take pics of animals at the zoo.

They look like snapshots that I see every day in the lab. Some exposure and sharpness problems, maybe due to the lenses you're using, and many could benefit from some post processing. Not bad, but nothing special either.

they're ok... needs a little work with lighting and some focus... what's your camera?

if you really want to go deeper, and believe me, it's no easy task unless you have the passion and the "eye" go to flickr.com...

tons of great photographers there.
