I think theists are secretly ashamed of their faith through blind belief and so calling atheism religion is for these people the most derogatory name they can think of ...theists who do this are a very contrary bunch who seem to have trouble distinguishing their asses (donkeys) from their elbows.
As someone here recently pointed out,... "Sure atheism is a religion but only if not collecting stamps is a hobby"

I already comprehend why you're here, yet some youthful Christians get offended in the warmth of conflict. Being religious may well be stable or undesirable, and that i does no longer choose to insult you, so I in no way ask.

Yes, those who do that are being contradictory.
However, I am a Christian, and I have NEVER said that atheists don't belong here. Have I wondered why they're here? Yes, but that's only my curiosity. Atheists have just as much a right to be here as anyone else.
Also, for the record, I don't believe that atheism is a religion. It DOES require faith, yes, but it's not a religion.

As contradictory as atheists accepting the existence of dark matter or carbon dating (beyond 60,000 years) without the same physical proof that they require of theists in relation to proving God exists. As for atheism being called a religion, really, it's just to tease them. We all know they are not a religion. They are a sect.

Oh such profound and deep intellectual points you make..
Clearly then, you god IS real. My mistake...NOT
You have been programmed to belive in a ficticious deity, and that science is to be rejected even if it unintentionally but clearly shuts down your religious beliefs.
Think about that for a minute...

They're privately aware that their religious beliefs are fairy tales, and public reminders of that fact are threatening. They have to be around just people who all recite the same lines, so that they don't have to confront the fact that they're living a lie. That means that they have to deny the existence of atheism.

Little puppy, I encourage the atheists to be here. What I don't care for are the endlessly pathetic assumptions about God, faith, and, (my personal favorite), the complete contradiction of those who don't believe in God, yet have a morbid curiosity (fear?) about what hell is like. That is truly a contradiction if ever there was one, and a most pathetic one at that.

atheists will question religion in general rather than religious groups, therefore implying they are not part of religion...
