Hi Patrick
Jesus hung out with the sinners of his day. He hung out with tax collectors and publicans and prostitutes. He did it so often that the pharasees called him into account over it.
He said that he came for the sick who need a doctor and not for the righteous.
You pastor, though being a little judgmental perhaps is on the right track. How are gays to get to know lovely straight Christian men unless they meet them. Going into the pub with tracts would be a good idea.
I can see you are not comfortable with the idea though. Don't condemn your pastor for his actions. I don't think your pastor is hiding anything like other people are suggesting.

Sounds like your pastor doesn't know the story about the Good Samaritan.
Luke 10:30-37
Backstory: Jews hated Samaritans at this time in history.

No, I don't think that was appropriate for your pastor to do, and if you are a minor, you should tell your parents, if you havn't already, and while you are at it, ask yourself how come your pastor knows where all the gay bars are??

Everything is suitable as long as you use condoms and silicone based lube for your comfort and safety. That's probably the next lesson from your Pastor.

This just prove your pastor is either :
a. Homophobic
b. A closet gay
In any sense, it is not suitable. He is being judgemental.

NO!! I thought that being a "christian" you were not supposed to judge. How can you be a hypocrite? I'm sorry but do you really think that "gay" people are really lost because they follow the path that was given to them? Maybe "God" wanted them to be gay to see if they would have the strength to follow their path instead of following the flock mindlessly. If god created us then that's how is is period. Just another flaw of christian theology...

Sounds like your pastor was making a bad example of people and persecuting them for their actions. I don't think it was suitable but I think you probably already knew that.

It's always good to know your enemy, and learn to understand the disease you are fighting.
I don't know about being in there for a whole hour though. You could have probably got the same message from about 15 minutes worth.
I'm guessing the thumbs down is because people are assuming that I am homophobic. I myself am not a Christian and don't have anything against homosexuals. However, the Bible explicitly condemns "man lying with man" and so Christians should take an extremely harsh line on homosexuality.

Wasn't there a song about this?
I've got something to put in you,
I've got something to put in you,
I've got something to put in you,
At the gay bar, gay bar, gay bar.
Hah!
