Swindled here are 3 works I have consulted

Duane W. Roller, The Building Program of Herod the Great

Robert Gree, Herod the Great

Michael Grant, Herod the Great

My research of Roman annals revealed that such a massacre has no documentary evidence at all.

Yup, you're right.
Even Flavius Josephus (a Jewish historian) didn't mention about Bethlehem Massacre in his writing, although he mentioned about King Herod.
And also there's no proof of any census around the time of 6 BC-1 A.D.

No Roman records record a worldwide census like this, but there was a census Quirinius conducted in Iudaea Province in AD 6 or 7, thus making 7 the last year in which Jesus could have been born. Luke however in Luke 1:5 states that John and Jesus were conceived during the reign of Herod the Great. Josephus, in his Antiquities, stated that a lunar eclipse occurred shortly before Herod's death. Using modern physics and astronomy, as Kepler was the first to do, one can date this eclipse to have occurred in 4 BC, so Herod's death and Quirinius's census were a decade apart. If Josephus is right about the eclipse, then LUKE MUST BE WRONG ABOUT JESUS BEING BORN DURING THE CENSUS.

You know the answer. Because it didn't happen.

One would think that if such a horrific event had occurred, Josephus would have recorded some mention of it since he lived only 3-4 decades after it supposedly happened.

Surely it would have still been extremely fresh in the minds of the Jews.

But there is of Herod. We have no evidence of him having a favorite horse either. Maybe he went through life without a favorite horse? Where's the evidence?

While I don't have the source to cite with me, there is evidence of it.

It would not have been a major genecide- may have been just a few children.

The existance of Jesus is not up for debate. He existed. The faith enters in regarding WHO he was. But rest assured a man named Jesus once walked he earth-
