God is the creator of Heaven and Earth.
Lord could be a mere man, a king, a leader, a husband, etc.
Just as Sara obeyed Abraham calling him "Lord" (1 Peter 3:6)

Hello Jay-V.
Lord is someone or something with high rank, power and authority.
God is a being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe, the principal object of faith and worship in monotheistic religions.
Being- present participle of be (to exist in actuality; have life or reality).
Present participle- A participle expressing present action
So Being is "be" or "to be" in action; Hence the Bible quotes: "I AM what I AM" and "I AM." (Exodus 3:14)
Lord is status while God is the existing Being (Force) expressing action.
Take care and God bless.
...do not be afraid of giving self in a service--if the ideal is correct. If it is for selfish motives, for aggrandizement, for obtaining a hold to be used in an underhand manner, beware. If it is that the glory of truth may be made manifest, spend it all--whether self, mind, body, or the worldly means--whether in labor or in the coin of the realm.

The JudeoChristian God is know by many names, one of which is Lord. Lord is just a term anyway, like calling your dad "dad" or "father".

Here's a mind bender for you. One of the patriarchs was quoted as saying, " the Lord said to my Lord".

God is Lord. Maybe you mean God and Jesus. God put Jesus here basically to make a point. He sacrificed his son for our sins. Jesus is God on Earth. Hope I helped. God=Lord. Same thing =)

A Lord (as in LandLord, or Lord of the Manor) is real, whereas God is not.
