It's all about personal preference - and what you are looking for.
If it's merely a physical thing (ie. a "hookup"), then it doesn't really matter - you either like what you see, or don't.
If you're looking for a friend (or someone you want a relationship with), then it's ok to actually ask the guy in the process of casual conversation (just don't start off this way!).
Or you could always just NOT ask ;)

hey u didn't mention Asian man...anyways da fact is brown is the most likeable color out of the three (well 4 if u count yellow)...anyways...i mean c'mon...us brown guys don't need to go to a tanning salon for that bronze look...almost all the white people i know spends days out in the sun trying to get the perfect tan...while i'm inside my house watching TV with my already perfect tan skin...
...in conclusion...its their lost if they dont approach us brown guys in a club...there will be others...

I don't think it matters what tone skin a guy is, as long as he can treat a girl with respect and shows he respects himself! If the guy is attractive to me I'd approach him!
