OK, this is a question that'll give you no correct answers. They both are good and compete against each other. This will be a question that'll live on forever. I love Windows and refuse to go to a Mac but on the otherhand there's a guy at work who only likes Macs. I say go for a Windows this way you know how to trouble shoot a computer at the library or work or even at a friends house. The guy at work can never figure out the Windows program because of the differences between his Mac and the Windows programs. I say the Windows is the most common computer used out there so go with the Windows program. But then again I don't like Macs. Also that guy at work is the only person I know who uses a Mac.

although "better" is a relative term, most people in the world are starting to lean towards Mac. Mainly because it's so easy to use and it isn't Vista (which apparently sucks really bad and is incompatible with just about every existing piece of software you have laready on your XP machine).
