You run the risk of becoming dependent on laxatives.
When your body does become dependent and you stop taking laxatives, you will easily become constipated.
Try good, old-fashioned exercise and sweat out some water weight.

It might, but it will also deplete your body of nutrients and fluid. It could also lead to a dangerous disorder that could kill you. Why not be sensible and find a walking partner and walk. Go to the pool once or twice a week. Eat lean protein and lots of fruit and vegetables. Lay off the juice and pop. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. Eat whole wheat breads and pasta. Watch portion size. Snack on nuts and raisins, yogurt, apples, sip tea. You will feel better and look healthier. Laxatives may help you loose some, but you will look sallow and have no inner glow (the real thing that will make you beautiful) Oh and have something you love to eat on Sat or Sun and something on Wed that is special but not too terrible, just a little bad. Don't loose weight too fast or it just comes back and then some. Make some good eating and exercise habits that you can enjoy and live with for the rest of your life. Good Luck!!

Taking laxatives only reduces your weight by removing the waste from your bowel. It has no effect on fat cells in your body.
Taking laxatives regularly WILL harm your bowels. The bowel is a muscle and it will rapidly become dependent on the drugs to make it move. IF you stop taking the laxatives then the bowel will be sluggish and you won't be able to move them. Laxatives should only be used in cases of severe constipation, and then only rarely.
Weight loss? You need to choose foods that are bulky and low calorie, like greens, lettuces, bran, oats etc. They make you feel full but aren't high in calories.
Keep your water intake up to keep everything moving well. AND to lose weight get moving - exercise.

Avoid this practice. Your body can grow dependent on laxatives. Just get your recommended daily allowance of at least 25 grams of fiber a day.

It will reduce your water weight and any bloating you might have. However, taking laxatives is not a good habit to get into.

Lousy idea, LOUSY. You get addicted to them, until you can't go without them, and all you lose is water weight, not fat. Better idea is to take one serving of metamucil for fiber each day for a week, then two servings a day, one before each meal to fill you up. The Metamucil fiber with water will reduce your appetite, but if you take too much at once without building up to it, you'll feel awful and bloated. Best idea is to join Weight Watchers and learn how to eat and when to stop.

Daily prolonged use can create an ulceration within the colon. Not a good idea to maintain weight.
