Questions on Passports?

So I have heard from many people now that as a fist generations American German on my fathers side that I can obtain a German Passport by showing my birth certificate because it shows my fathers place of birth to be Germany. Is this true and if so how can I go about to obtain one?!

Citizenship by blood will entitle you to apply for a German passport. Apply at the German embassy to really know if you are qualified.

Check with the German embassy near you for details. If not, check with passports in America. They can refer you to where to get proper information.
