This does not sound at all like hot spots. Actually it sounds somewhat like mange, but it's not really in the right areas for that (tho mange can be anywhere on a dog). It could be numerous things. I believe some dogs are also allergic to flea bites and get this symptom. She needs to be seen by a vet, especially if it is causing her discomfort with scratching constantly.

I would bath her, I wouldn't use anything with chemicals tho until you know what this is as it could irritate the skin even more. Use a mild oatmeal based soap. This won't irritate the skin and will help with the itching. Apply a mild antiseptic to the problem areas after she's dry, and make sure it gets into her skin while she supervised otherwise she may try to lick it off.

No, tea tree cream won't be helping. This will only soothe the area.

Hot spots are an area of skin infection. They require antibiotics to heal. Hotspots usually appear as an area of intensely inflamed skin with pus, no hair loss.

Are you sure these are hot spots? i.e has a vet diagnosed this? Be aware that if you don't regularly use a flea treatment from a vets (not a petshop) this could well be fleas. It doesn't really sound much like hot spots from your description.

Please take the dog to the vets, home remedies are not advisable, you need to find out exactly what the problem is before it can be treated!

That's not hotspots. Hotspots are areas of oozy scabby patches. They usually are in the furred area, but they can be on the less hairy spots. It sounds more like she has a different type of skin condition. I'd take her to the vet and get it looked at if it doesn't clear in a day or two.

My dog is suffering from this at the moment...

Just go to a cheap vet and they will give you "Doggie Benadryl" and possibly a spraw to stop the itching. If you do not seek medications your dog could begin to scratch the area opening wounds and becoming infected

I don't believe they are hotspots. Hotspots are not spread out like what you're describing. She needs to see the vet to find out what the rash is from.
