The times when Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was here on earth, He was serving a mission, His mission was to bring Islam to the lives of the people that lived in those areas. The times were not always peaceful times and at that time the fights were to erase all the iniquities that were taking place and bring Islamic teachings to the people.

Back then there were customs that were totally anti God and anti human and when Islam came into place most of this bad practices vanished.

Mohammad (PBUH) was a prophet of God and He served a purpose in his life and part of being Muslim is acknowledging Him as a Prophet of God.

The Prophet (pbuh) did not force anyone to believe he was a Messenger of God. They believed because they wanted to, and because there were signs that he was the Messenger. Islam teaches people to do good deeds sincerely and not to expect rewards from anyone but the All Mighty.

Excerpt from http://www.hamditabligh.net/articles/understanding_prophet_muhammad_b.htm:
It must be emphasized that being a pious person and trying to save a community by declaring prophethood is not the same, in any way, as being a real messenger of God. The first case implies that the person is essentially a liar. While many adjectives have been associated with Prophet Muhammad, “liar” has never been one of them. Indeed, he was known by his community as their most trustworthy member, al-Ameen in Arabic. Disbelievers accused him of being a magician or a crazy person, but never of lying. In the words of Montgomery Watt:

“His readiness to undergo persecutions for his beliefs, the high moral character of the men who believed in him and looked up to him as leader, and the greatness of his ultimate achievement – all argue his fundamental integrity. To suppose Muhammad an impostor raises more problems than it solves. Moreover, none of the great figures of history is so poorly appreciated in the West as Muhammad.”

Questioning is great when u really want to know something not when u are making a statement in a form of a question which in yr case is a totally incorrect presumption.
Mohamed (pbuh) did not ask anything from the people on yathrib, when he first decided to leave Mecca to go to medina to spread the word of Allah, the people there were more than willing to receive him and have him and his sahaba (friends and followers) live amongst them as family. They went out and met him with open arms when he arrived to yathrib.

There is absolutely nothing in our religion that says we can force people to join us. As a matter of fact we are taught in the quraan and by our prophet(pbuh) that to each his religion.
(Lakoum deenokem wa leya deeny). Which means u practice yr religion and i have my faith and religion.

Edit: Again i would like to ask u where r u getting yr information from, try to research more and read more if u r interested but if not then there is absolutely no point in saying anything about our prophet (PBUH) just to assert yr point of view.

Nothing comes free in this world. From ur question I feel that there is Religious Bussiness. In buissiness we give something to gain something.
Religion is not buissness. Then why do people sell it. Fear of non existence of the religion makes them to sell it. But this in turn only creates more divisions and leads to eventual destruction of the religion.
Simply follow the principles of the religion and live a life of great is far better, rather to sell the religion and live a life of a hypocrite.

When when Christians go to a third world country to "help" the people there, they are pushing down their JC?

Doesn't sound very God like to me. God gives to His children and ask nothing in return.
