From a Christian perspective, Heaven is a physical place and Hell is a spiritual place, not in the sense of enlightned spirituality, but just not physical.

Christ was resurrected. He has a body. I have heard people say "Well, it's not clear what type of body Christ had, but one thing is clear and that is he was resurrected and has come sort of tangible body. When he left this earth, it would make sense that he went to some kind of physical place. Where that is I do not know, but he had to go somewhere if he has a physical body. I think that is sensible.

Satan does not have a body. Satan was not born and will stay in the spiritual realm. I think part of hell is that Satan and his followers will never have a body and will never experience the physical realm. That is their "hell" because their choice to follow Satan will prevent them from ever having a body and experience things like the smell of a rose, the warmth of sunlight or anything else that is physical. I think that makes sense and there are scripture to back that up, so I don't understand people who just say the nature of heaven is unknown.

both are right here, which is to say they are somewhat a state of mind.

As I saw in my youth the desperate people who hold each other down and climb on the backs of others to appear higher. They scramble compete and hurt each other. Much like the old paintings of hell. Heaven I've yet to find, I think I've made it out of hell, lost in purgatory for now. Further than i would have once imagined i guess. I see it as an allegory. Nothing any more magical than Stephen King.

i was raised as a catholic, went to catholic schools and church alot. i always believed that Heaven existed and tend to still believe that now many years later. I believe it is a physical place (Paradise) as Jesus says. I have trouble with Hell though. Maybe i don't want to believe it exists; i'm not sure. Who wants to think that there is Nothing after you die? We could sure use some signs from heaven. I find the Shroud of Turin an amazing thing and a source of comfort; take a look at it if you haven't seen it.

A place outside of time and space. It is not physical in that it is outside of the physical world. It is more than a state of mind.

I think they're both. Have you ever seen that movie starring Robin Williams "What Dreams May Come"? That very closely resembles what I believe happens when we die. Except I don't believe in the reincarnation part. I only believe we kind of create our own heaven and hell based on things we really like or dislike. It's interesting, if you haven't watched it, it's definately worth seeing.

I feel like it is very real. Atheists would not believe in either, Catholics would tell you to ignore the problem, and various other religiouns would tell you that there is some other form.......

As a Christian, I do believe in Heaven and Hell. I don't think that God would send His only son to earth to die for people that didn't even think they needed dieing for ....but He did.

People are so self absorbed that your question might go through the cracks of what people are interested in......but I love answering your question.

Make sure you have heard about Jesus before you draw your last breath, it is very important.......

this is kind of a difficult question to answer....since NONE of us really know.

i think heaven and hell are environments... and their names are "heaven" and "hell"....

i believe in God and i'm a christian but i'm not a religious person... i think, heaven is where God is... when you feel loved and nothing can harm you because you feel God with you... and when we pass on, we go to the arms of God and that's heaven, wherever He is.

i think hell is life without hope, and where God's spirit cannot dwell. when someone passes on and is seperated from God in the afterlife, i liken it to being really hungry and only being able to watch other ppl eat through a window with no way of communicating with them.... being in a place without the comfort of God's grace and only seeing it from a distance.... that would be hell.

so in my opinion, these two places are a matter of where you are spiritually and where u actually want to be.

If you really think that it's a physical place, then you're in a particularly state of mind.
