Christ and him crucified is always profitable.
A good resource is a Youngs concordance.
Another way to know what to teach them is to Ask God and expect to recieve an answer. He knows what they need.

Proverbs is a good book to use for youth, because it is easy to understand and there is a lot of teaching/wisdom.
Chapter 2 deals with the reward of heeding wisdom.
Chapter 3 deals with obedience.
Chapter 10-15 contrasts the wise and the foolish.
I have worked with the youth in my church for about 8-10 years and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. I pray that God leads you in the direction that will have a positive impact on your youth.

Most young people want to be accepted, be a part of something.

As a result they many times end up hurt, because of chosing wrong friends.

To help them see the wisdom in chosing good friends, a good verse is 1 Cor 15:33, another is Proverbs 13:20.

It would have to be Peer Pressure, as we all went through it and the youth of today are getting the same, if not more...pressure.

Do not be misled. Bad associations spoil useful habits
-1 Cor 15:33

(Proverbs 13:20) He that is walking with wise persons will become wise, but he that is having dealings with the stupid ones will fare badly.

(2 Peter 2:2) Furthermore, many will follow their acts of loose conduct, and on account of these the way of the truth will be spoken of abusively.

..........and then if you want to get into morality issues that can be tied right to peer pressure..............

"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, 20 idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, divisions, sects, 21 envies, drunken bouts, revelries, and things like these. As to these things I am forewarning YOU, the same way as I did forewarn YOU, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s kingdom.
22 On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law."
-Galatians 5:19-23

"How will a young man {or woman} cleanse his path?
By keeping on guard according to your word. Psalms 119:9

Preach love, let them make up their own minds after that.

An honorable Christian question!
An honorable Christian answer, don't preach to them!

An honorable Sufi answer: Teach the youth how to think, not what to think!

If you must preach to youth, preach by being a good example
of what you are preaching...............

youth as in teens are growing, teach them about sex and contraceptives. Oh wait.....religion teaches them to stay celebate until marriage........that's a joke because 60% of teens have sex before senior year in high school yet religion won't support the teaching of contraceptive use? Looks like in about 200 years the whole country will have STD's thanks to relgion.

THANKS RELIGION!!! YOU'RE THE GREATEST!

I've got to go with education and critical thinking too.

I'd suggest the same for yourself too.
