Why the f**ck do girls tease guys?

Question

I started talking to this girl that I used to have a thing with (we went out a few times but nothing really happened), see we used to go to the same school, but i moved, and now i go to a different school, its still in the same town. Well I was talking to her and she kept saying how much she missed me and how I always made her laugh. I also told her about this job I have and she said that she would stop by to see me sometime. Im grounded right now, so i cant acctually ask her out for a while, but this girl has a history for being a tease, and I think she is doing it again. Should i just give up and move on, or should i see if shes being sincere. Last time she pulled this sht on me i ended up hating her for months and id rather not get hurt again if I can avoid it.

well i would stick it out a little bet longer to see if she really cares for you
maybe you could set her down and talk to her about and how you dont trust her right now because she did that to you before
also when girls tease it is just another way of flirting
so wait for a week or so talk to her then think of the option to brake it off

Is she really being a tease or are you taking things to serious? Your both young, this is the time to date.( Dating= non-exclusive social activity.) Don't expect so much. She's probably doing just that, dating. Dating doesn't mean sleeping around, it means getting to know people not their body parts. I think girls tease because they like being able to know that they can get a certain guy. Sometimes the knowledge of that is better than actually having the guy. If she's teased you once chances are she'll do it again, but I'm all for second chances.

I've led a boy on without meaning to in my high school days and feel terrible about it to this day, knowing that I hurt him when I just wanted to be friends with him. Many times it's unintentional, other times it's to get attention or if the girl has low self esteem and needs to string guys along to feel better about herself (these girls often steal their girlfriend's guys too).

I think that girls more often can think of guys as just friends and can say friendly things (like I miss you, let's hang out, etc) without meaning it as a come on. But boys rarely say things like that unless they are attracted to the girl. Right?

If you really like this girl, I'd wait and see if she comes to visit you at your job. But getting hurt is always a risk when you go out with someone. If it's not worth getting hurt to you, that means that's she doesn't mean that much to you. If you don't want to risk it, maybe you should move on. Hope this helps and good luck.

there are different ways that a women could be a tease.

she could be a tease if playing mental games with u or be a tease as far as physicality is concerned.

the main reason for doing that is to make u work harder for it, make u more curious about the goods because u can sense if a man just like things too fast, too serious without really knowing what u are all about.

Yes we do stop it once we know &feel u know us better, or u allowed to stop it too if u feel its too much....

so it leaves u with a choice: do u want to get to know her better or not?

Yes some girls are teases, why, I have no idea. But if you don't want to get hurt again, just leave her alone. I mean you can keep trying but in the long run, your probably going to get hurt and regret it. Just leave her alone and move on with your life. Best of luck

Well, hmm.............guess you realy need to think about what you would like,but I would be cautiouse...she may be sincere about it,but just unsure of how you will react,and maybe she has a bit of low self esteem and doesnt realy think she can get someone like you to realy be interested.
I think when it comes to teasing,,,some people just get a kick out of it without thinking about the other persons fealings.
You Have to think about what you would like out of it first and if your willing to take the chance..proceed with caution,,and maybe keep yourself at a distance till you know for sure,just as a precaution. SInce you cant realy take her out right now cuz your grounded,,its a good time to feel things out and see what shes looking for

Well, honestly.. it sounds like she's just being friendly. Now if she actually comes up to your work, gives you some cute smiles, and is wearing something to obviously look good for you.. now that's a tease. If I had said those things to you.. it could simply mean that I was just in a good mood when we crossed paths, and I saw no reason to be totally rude to you.

That's really not fair. The way we see it is that we can't even smile at a guy without him thinking that we're hot for him. Guys tend to misinterpret natural friendliness as a come-on and, then, accuse the girl of being a tease.

Dude...suck it up be a man...play the same game with her ...And not everything can end the way you want it and getting hurt is a process homie. Who cares about her history i dont think history matters unless its totally obvious that shes just that same old girl. and play it safe be a shortstop be a friend and see what happens dont be all I Want her already man trust me i know how it feels but if shes wanting to dance then tango with her ya know what i mean? dont be scared that she might step on ur feet just dance :)
