if democrats are elected in 2008, how will this affect the military?

i am currently enlisted in the air force, and am curious how this will affect me with a democratic president because i have only been in while bush has been president. i just reenlisted, im curious to know how the next 4 more yrs of my enlistment will be different, Thanks.

Look at what Clinton did to the military. He cut it by hundreds of thousands of people. I don't think you could reduce the military anymore than it already is so they probably won't do that. It does show what the democrats think of our military though... not to mention the spectacle they are making of themselves right now.

Democrats suck! All you hear about now is pulling our of Iraq, pull out. . . But thats not what people were saying just after September 11th 2001. Our mission, was not to achieve oil, or payback, it was to prevent attacks on our country. So far, we have succeeded in doing so. Democrats are two headed monsters.(granted not all are, and some Republicans can be to.) I think if a Democrat is elected president they will attempt to fix all of the "wrong" the Republicans did, which will only do more harm then good.

Honestly, I beleive that no one member of the U.S. Government has a flipping clue as to what to do in Iraq and the Middle East. Instead of concerning themselves with the troops and the HUMAN LIVES that we have sent over there, they are too busy fighting amongst themselves about what to do. The stupid republicans are trying to hang on to what little they have left in congress and our Presidency, and the democrats are beating themselves too hard trying to get another Clinton/Failure into office. WHOEVER we have running our government is not who should be running it...I beleive that the ELECTORS or the SOLDIERS should run our governemnt. I'm not libertarian or anarchist, but I beleive that our government is just f**kin things up more than they should be.

I have an IDEA.....let's get someone like Ferris Bueller to run our governemnt and it would have to be a little less up tight.....and in the words of Ferris....if you stuck a lump of coal up our governments butt...in a week you would have diamonds.

So in answer to your question...I believe that a republican OR a DEMOCRAT could not do much better...or be any worse for that matter.

Well, if we're still in Iraq at that point, we'll stay here. I don't think any of the candidates are naive enough to think violence and terrorism will magically stop if we stop fighting it. They just count on their supporters believing that.

The thing is, if a democrat inherits Iraq, it will become his problem, and then that person will suddenly be all about victory in Iraq, and we'll d whatever it takes and stay as long as it takes to make it happen; they won't have Bush to blame anymore. They would try, but it wouldn't work.

Democrats see very little need for the military. If they gain control of the White House in 2008 you will be treated as a lower life form even as they ara saying how much they support you.
