Forgiveness does not come from going to church, it comes from within and your beliefs and trust in whatever your deity says. Jesus forgives, man says Jesus love is conditional, I don't beleive that.

In my opinion, a building or a place where people meet and pray so to say is not a church.
Church is simply u and your mind or better still i could say "the heart of man is the church"
If you are asking for forgiveness for sins committed, you ask God via your conscience which is the church. everything you do comes out from there, that is if you are pricked and realized that you have sinned.
You can not fool God. God is the God that knows the content of your heart before you speak a word. It's like Bill Gate and the computer, he knows it limit by the touch of a single button. It can't fool it maker.
No man can ever fool God, u can only fool yourself.
It's good to go to church, to hear the teachings of the word of God and to study it so as to know the truth about God. it is just like a medical student who stays indoors instead of attending lectures and practicals, do you think such a student will graduate as a medical doctor?
So brethren, it's too nice to go to church to hear the word of God, it is wisdom to our soul.

It's okay not to go to church. BUT, that's because Christianity isn't about church, it's about a relationship with the Father. Are you friends with your best friend in just a certain place? No, of course not! You're friends all the time. Of course, if your best friend asked you to go somewhere because it was what was best for you, would you do it?
The whole point of Christianity is asking forgiveness for sins. Christians aren't the ones fooling themselves. God has been gracious and has lifted the veil separating us from Him! Would you rather sin and be hopeless, or sin and know you're forgiven because of a gift? Either way, the gift is extended to you, all you have to do it take it from Christ.

Number one, you can't fool God. Number two, if you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ then you will not want to continue to live in a sinful manner. This doesn't mean that you stop sinning, because we are all sinners even those that are Christians. It is of utmost importance that if you are a believer that you go to church. You will find accountability there and fellowship with other believers. The people that are fooling themselves are the ones that say they don't need to go to church to believe in Christ.
You also have to sincerely believe that "as far as the east is from the west so far has he removed our transgressions from us." Once you are a child of God nothing can separate you from his love.

Doing sins again and again without a second thought is not what the bible teaches. You are supposed to ask for forgiveness if you are truely sorry. God can supposidly see into your heart, so if you are just mindlessly going to church you are not doing any good for yourself. Religion is for the truely repentant who will TRY to do better (everyone sins, but you have to make an honest effort to be good). Lipservice is for those who go out of habit and their heart is not really into it.
I'm not religious, but I do know about Christianity as I used to be one.
Anyhow, from what I can understand in the bible, Church is highly reccomended, but not entirely required.

We are not perfect people and God understands this. That is why we ask for forgiveness. If you are not happy at your church look into other churches or even other denominations. Religion shouldn't just focus on sinning. We are sinners and sin happens.

I won't say you yes nor no, i will explain you your same question with another factor if you will.
IS IT OKAY NOT GO TO SCHOOL/HOSPITAL?
school-you are not going to learn life by going to school but you prepare yourself for a better life.
hospital-you don't heal your terminal disease by going to the hospital but you recover from your fever.
You are not saved by making God's house your house, you are saved by making your house God's house. I used to go to church fooling myself because i always sinned without asking forgiveness from God but when i understood true relation with God i understood going to church wasn't religion but a way to make that relationship full time if you will.
If you are in love with someone you'll like to be all day in her/his house to share daily stuff.
You go to church for these main reasons:
1- bible study- by someone with higher bible knowledge which can help you to understand God's word better.
2- Congregation help- you can share your needs and it is supposed that the congregation should help you with any need that including the pastor that can also help you.
3-Shelter/Refuge- it's a refuge and it keeps you away from the "world desires" and keep you focus on better things God wants from you..
Look i could be all day here typing but that's more than enough for you, i hope you can understand what the meaning of church is, remember that church is the believers not the temple.
Hope the best 4 u.

What does going to church have to do with god? If you go with devious intentions, it might be better not to ask for forgivness until you have resolved to sin no more. Otherwise, you'll just make it worse and piss god off... which is not a wise thing to do.

Church doesn't save you, nor does it forgive your sins. Church is a place to fellowship with other believers ONLY. God does speak in the bible that it is important to fellowship with others and you only hurt yourself in that you may lack blessings and knowledge He has for you there.
