I had the same question some 17-18 years ago...
By going back to the beginning of human life, I found the answer.
Genesis 1:1 ~ 2:7 ~ 2:15 ~ 2:21-23 ~ 1:28,29.
The Creator prepared a beautiful garden where he put the first couple. Provided food and direction.
He intended for them to enjoy eternal happiness on a Paradiselike earth with their children. In peace with eachother and animals.
Because of their disobedience, that was lost, but only for some time.
God's purpose for humankind will still be fulfilled. (Psalms 37:11,29;Revelation 21:1-5;Isaiah 33:24;Acts 24:15)

I think existence is just one long push toward an ultimate light. That's not a religious statement, and I'm not talking about Christ or Mohammad or the Buddha or anyone else. It's just that as human beings, we have an inborn sense of what is higher and what is lower in the chain of existence. Most of our questions, mores, and laws, whether religious or secular, have something to do with refining what the light is and moving toward it. We exist in a world like a house full of mirrors, and what seemed to be a part of the dark yesterday, we find is the light today.
I think that it is an illusion that there is a "we," though. Although I cannot say it in the terms I would like, since I'm bound to this single identity (using "I" for example), everything is a part of the same giant, humming, living source, and its goal is to get all the parts to realize that and come together. Then it will spontaneously implode upon itself and pop back to life as a cute little kitten, say "mew" and have a nice, cool bowl of milky. Purrrr....

The meaning is to become better connected with the positive forces in the universe. Human to vegetable to insect? I believe in reincarnation, but that's just gay. Transmigration of the soul is always human to human.

God put us on this earth for a reason.. We are meant to help people and share the love of God to non-believers, so that we can all go to heaven to be with Him.

Life – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.
I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.
You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.
The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us. -
