I want my bridesmaid to feel happy and comfortable on my wedding day, I don't want her to have her hair up so tight and fancy that she gets a head ache, I really don't mind what she wears her hair like on the day, I have short hair anyway so what do I know about styling long hair, we are going for a trial at a hairdresser to test out some styles, but if she felt more comfortable with it down then that's great with me.

Many brides wear their hair down and if it is long enough some where the top part up with the bottom hand down, kind of like a pony tail, but not gathered together.

it kinda depends on how formal you are going with plans at a wedding, i dont think having an updo goes back into time as something done in tradition

I don't think so at all. It depends on how formal the wedding is and also what time of year it is. Also, whatever the bride likes! It's her day, so who cares about the rules!!!

I think hair down with a soft curl and the front comb w/ the side sweep would be great.
