My mom and I have always been pretty close, but in the last 2 years she has been kind of draining me. She is very irresponsible and spends her money without thinking about paying her bills. My mother is a huge procrastinator and it sadly runs in my blood to but I have worked along time on trying to correct my procrastination and I have been doing awsome. She always tries to tell me how to parent my 3 children and even will tell them that they can do something right after she hears me tell them no. We rent the same barn and pasture where our horses stay, but I am always having to tell her they need hay(she buys the hay, I take care of watering, cleaning and feeding) and that her horse needs hooves trimmed and so on. Every time I talk about her, hear her voice, talk to her I end up feeling worse than I did before and completely drained. She always speeks in fact instead of opinion and constantly tells me how I should lead my life. What should I do?

I rented the place first and then she needed a quick place for her horse and It was only supposed to be through January, and I had asked her when she was going to move her horse and she said that she isn't going to, I don't want her horse there anymore and I want some distance, I just don't know how to tell her. I don't want anyones feelings to get hurt.

The horses never starve, if she doesn't get hay then I do it, it is like a big lose lose situation for me

You need to stop taking over for your mom. She'll never quite procrastinating as long as she has you to cover for her. If it's too difficult for you, find another place for your horse. A little more distance would probably be good for both of you.

stand on your own 2 feet and tell her how you feel. whats the worst that could happen? of course tell her that you love her but there comes a time when a mom needs to back off .as for the animals, thats cruelty and punishable by law, she needs to face her problems or they could be taken away.

There's nothing you can do about your mom. You need to change your own thinking, so that she isnt affecting your life so strongly. Perhaps involving yourself more in YOUR life, and much LESS in hers will bring you more peace of mind.
