I want to introduce you to one the most world renoun scientist / christian today who has written textbook and a major novel. Finding Darwin's God. His name is Kenneth R. Miller. He believes in Evolution, but in the sense that God set Evolution in motion rather than it happening spontaneously. and people like Kenneth R. Miller. Hes kind of against Intellegent design, but saying that God set Evolution in motion is the ultimate intellegent design.

Both the Bible and evolutionary biology say that we are made from inorganic matter (the Bible calls it "the dust of the earth"). The Bible doesn't specify the process by which God formed this non-living matter into the body of man. Science reveals this information. There is no conflict betewwn the two. the only conflict comes when some people try to dictate to God exactly HOW He is allowed to form man from the dust of the earth.

First, evolution does not indicate man evolved from apes but from a common ancestor with apes. If you follow the evolutionary theory back you'll find all things were created from "dirt".

Second, the Bible does not eliminate the possibility that God created everything using evolution. We always forget that those who wrote about creation were not as technologically advanced as we are and would not understand genetics or the concept of selective adaptation.

Also, if you check the original language you'll discover that the concept of elapsed time is much different than the 24 hour day we think of because of our translations.

I don't think so. I think either the evolutionists are right or the bible is right. I think the scientists who claim evolution is how everything got here don't know everything and they have a hard time believing in something they can't explain like God's creation.

I hear there is no evidence to support evolution but there is some for a creation. The link below explains scientifically how a creation did occur.

The Bible was written by men; although it is claimed that it is God's word (all words are God's words), the men that wrote the book were powerful and educated, unlike the masses at the time. The book was written to influence and control the masses and keep them from thinking for themselves. Men tell you that things HAVE to be one way or another, either you believe this or, you can't be a member of "our" club. What's to say God didn't invent evolution...when God created everything? Just because a group of superstitious humans needed to describe a process they couldn't understand, they had God miraculously create humans. God did create us through evolution.

Please try and comprehend, the people that are telling you that you should believe this or that, are trying to control you, they may believe they have your best intentions at heart, but still, most of them want something in return.

Think for yourself, soon you will know your own answers, answers that God will give you. Do you need another person or group to tell you what "right" and "wrong"; "good" and "bad" are?

All you have to do to be a "Christian" is believe in the Christ. That's all. Christ said, "love one another as I have loved you." Is it love to try and hold sway over other people? Personally, I believe what you do and believe is your own business; I don't need any hypocrites telling me what to think, how to act, or how to be...do you? God made me perfect, just like you and everyone else, ask yourself, "why are these people trying to corrupt God's perfect work but telling me what to think, etc?" They may believe they know what God thinks and wants, but all they are doing is interpreting other men's words because no one KNOWS God's thoughts, except you. God created logic, free will, and everything else; think for yourself, God will help you figure it out.

There is a place in the Bible where it mentions that a day to God is like a thousand years to us. So when the Bible says that the Earth was created in seven days that doesn't necessarily mean our 24 hour days. It could just be a marking of seven periods of time.

Evolution: man from apes from dinosaurs from other things

Creation: God created man

My idea: God created the earth before. Then the dinosaurs died and then He wiped out the stars and plants and the water, leaving behind the fossils. After, He recreated the earth and everything else. Also, I read that God created the Hebrew history. If you disagree, then where did the wives of Cain and Seth come from? Who knows? He might have done that and then the rest of humanity came from something entirely different.

I am Christian and I believe in the lessons the Bible teaches but not the literal word of every story in it. The literal text of the Bible contradicts itself countless COUNTLESS times, and so the Bible is not to be taken literally. Rather, take from it the lessons it teaches: the commandments, "love one another," and all that. You can take from the stories of Genesis that God created us, but not the literal way in which it was done.

[quote]I continuously thought it replaced into humorous that it regarded that Evolution appeared to be genuine. It replaced into obtrusive to me that there is a survival of the fittest. It replaced into obtrusive to me that animals/characteristics pick themselves for sure for the suited/semi-suited diversifications. some stay to tell the story, others do no longer. After long adequate time you get categories of animals. some extra noticeably diverse than others. I propose look at how we've created the changes in canines and horses by breeding. look how we've completely altered cows and chickens to serve us to the element that they could no longer stay to tell the story without us practically. in merely some hundred years we've completely changed one animal type.[endquote] What you have defined it relatively is not evolution, it relatively is organic decision. additionally, selective breeding in animals alongside with canines and horses isn't evolution, it relatively is selective breeding, the place breeders attempt to particular specific features over generations to ascertain a "organic" breed. The features have been continuously there. [quote] The bible demands you suspect it actually, so i attempted to do this. [endquote] No. no longer each little thing in the bible is meant to be taken actually. many stuff are symbolic, such by fact the imagery in the e book of Revelation. [quote] does not all that particularly lots prepare that there replaced into evolution, and that the Genesis account is erroneous [endquote]. relies upon on your interpretation. while you're taking the Genesis account to point literal 24 hour days, it relatively is erroneous. The hebrew be conscious "yom" is the be conscious it relatively is translated to "day". It does not continuously propose a literal 24 hour day. each incidence of "yom" can propose a definite degree of creation, distinctive from the different "days". The be conscious "yom" is used someplace else in scripture to communicate with differing time classes, so why no longer here? whilst Winston Churchill stated "This replaced into their best hour", replaced into he touching on a literal 60 minute era? No. additionally, the bible isn't a technological awareness e book. it relatively is purpose is to no longer clarify the character of the universe.

The Bible tells us WHAT God did.
Science tells us HOW He did it!

I interpret "dust" to mean the elements.
Whether you believe in 3 elements, 5 elements, 7 elements or the Periodic Table, it's all the same concept.

EDIT:
Does it mean:
"The Bible is wrong"
or
"People's INTERPRETATION of the Bible is wrong?"

IMO: "The Bible is wrong" can only hold true if one is a literalist. "Right and wrong" are not valid issues when it comes to dealing with analogies, symbolism or explaining the unexplainable to people with absolutely no knowledge of science or technology.
