I beleive in God 100%, but whenever I pray nothing happens. I dont do bad things and I allways try to go to church. Could you give me an example of a prayer? Thanks.

God knows what are needs are before we even ask Him.
Matthew 6:7,8 states: But when praying, do not say the same things over and over again, just as the people of the nations do, for they imagine they will get a hearing for their use of many words. 8 So, do not make yourselves like them, for God YOUR Father knows what things YOU are needing before ever YOU ask him."

However, prayer requires full-fledged faith in God.
James 1:6,7 says (in part) "But let him keep on asking in faith, not doubting at all, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven by the wind and blown about."

Our prayers must also be in harmony with God's will.
1 John 5:14: "And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that, no matter what it is that we ask according to his will, he hears us. "

Try to keep these things in mind the next time you pray. Hope I've helped.

There is no wrong or right way to pray. Praying doesn't have to be this "formal" thing with all the right words to say. Prayer is simply talking to God. I just talk to Him like I would a friend, because that is exactly what He is. Lightning bolts wouldn't fall from the sky even if you prayed a certain way. Things God does isn't always apparent to the eye. Most of the time is is under the surface. Rest assured, you believe in God 100% and you are sincere with Him, He most definately hears your prayers.

You are crying out for help.

Pray to God like you are asking your own daddy for a favor....if you don't have one, come up with a suitable substitute.

I always thank God..especially when things are going well. The bad times, I see as lessons I must figure out.

I am not Catholic, but I find the rosary a comforting prayer, mostly when I am tired. The repetition relaxes me and I add the prayer of Jabez to the end along with my own thought.

Hang in there. A bunch of people will be praying for you from this post. It works. I asked for prayers on here twice and both times my condition has improved.

God bless and good luck.

The Lords Prayer in Matthew 5:9-15

When I pray, I just talk to God. I thank him for my many blessings (always be thankful) and then I talk to him of my hopes and dreams. Talk to him about world events and how I would like to see them turn out. I just talk to him as if I was talking to my mortal father.

Maybe the reason your prayers aren't answer is because God knows that's not what's best for you. Don't put limitations on him. Let him answer the prayer the way he sees fit. He knows what is best. Place everything in his hands and trust that it will be taken care of. And remember, some of God's greatest gifts are un-answered prayers. I don't know how old you are, but I'm older now and I look back at the things I prayed for and I thank God for not answering them.

I beleive in God 100%,
Good, now start trusting him.

but whenever I pray nothing happens.
okay, have you started trusting him yet?

I dont do bad things
Well, you are the only one since Jesus then.

I allways try to go to church.
That's not trusting him. But good IF they are preaching trust in God. (faith)

Could you give me an example of a prayer?
Yes. God, please make me trust you more. I am so impatient. I think taht whatever I pray for should drop immediately out of the sky, and it doesn't.

Thanks.
You're welcome.

Okay, now fooling around aside, I'm being serious now, okay? Look in the Bible for a promise that God actually made, and put your trust in it. There are also certain places where God reveals his nature.
Jehovah-Jireh
Jehovah will see or provide.
(Genesis 22:14)

Jehovah-Ropheka
Jehovah that healeth thee.
(Exodus 15:26)

Jehovah-Nissi
Jehovah my banner.
(Exodus 17: 15)

Jehovah-Mekaddishken
Jehovah that doth sanctify you.
(Exodus 31:13; Leviticus 20:8, 21:8, 22:32; Ezekiel 20:12)

Jehovah-Shalom
Jehovah [send] peace.
(Judges 6: 24)

Jehovah-Zebaoth
Jehovah of hosts.
(1 Samuel 1:3)

It's his nature to be those things. That's what the Bible puts them in there for, to get to know him better.

Now as far as promises:
Hebrews 13:5
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Be content with what you have. And desire the things that God brings you. And just when you've lost hope, i have something that you might want to see:
Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

But you have to trust Him for it.

Prayer is just like talking to an old friend. Just common language is what I use. And sometimes if you do not get an answer to a prayer, it could be that God is waiting on the answer or the answer could be no. Good luck and God bless

what do you pray for? sometimes you might think you're praying, but you're only wishing for things. God isn't a vending machine, and prayer isn't a button that you push. Prayer is only talking to God. Singing the Johnny Appleseed song is not a prayer. Prayer is TALKING TO GOD!! Talk as though you were talking to a friend. Pray with your pastor.

How do you pray? I will ask you: What is your definition of pray?
Getting from your question it looks to me you have kind of -User's Manual- First you need to know that pray is like when you talk to somebody you know. I am sure you don't follow dialogs already made... I mean the conversation flows an goes naturally. When you pray you should do the samething talk to the person -God-, and you will see the difference once you practice the dialoge within friends, not like something pre-made.

because you're expecting too much instead of having faith in God like you say you do 100%. the Lord's prayer, repenting prayer and it doesn't necessarily have to be a prayer even when you're talking to a person or just to yourself God hears you. you should keep praying and be patient God will get to you.......
