As individuals we will each face our death and see our last moment of life. Dead is dead. There is no heaven nor hell nor after-life of any kind.

As a species, I suspect we will expire eventually. The planet can only support so much, after all and our population continues to grow.. There will become a critical stage reached and a volatile starving margin of people; shortages, squabbles and political wars, and religious wars will take their toll. And, one day there could very well be nuclear disaster... if we are foolish enough to let any of that happen.

Another scenario is possible if the world's people can all be brought under peace keeping government controls and if science and industry are aimed at solving the era by era problems of our sustenance.

But alas, something disastrous is probable - an asteroid, an epidemic, a world-wide plague or famine, volcanic or oceanic catastrophe - something.

I just hope that mankind will have advanced it’s technologically enough before such world-ending events stop us from exploring and populating other worlds... I'd like to see the adventure of man continue on for a while longer, here or anywhere.

But whatever the future holds... I'm not expecting it to unravel the suspicious predictions and preposterous claims of the holy books - no gods or mystic happenings are visible in the clouds of my "crystal ball" ... how about yours?

Thirty thousand years is a nothing chunk of time in the grand scheme of things. Yet, in this time we have gone from little more than particularly cunning foraging animals into beings that discuss their own existence and build cities and send messages to others across the world. If this is where we are after only thirty thousand, think of where we will be in a million.

I picture a galaxy spanning Utopia, where science is so advanced that the average person can bend reality to their will. We shall lives as gods.

Or, here's hoping anyway. :)

In about 5 billion years, the Sun will expand into a red giant and engulf the Earth, which at that point will be ruled by superintelligent cockroaches, because we're probably going to kill off each other in the next 100 years out of sheer stupidity.

When they say peace and safety then sudden destruction shall come. The Fifth Trumpet sounded when Saddam Husein lit said oil wells on fire during the first Gulf War. The first woe has past behold two more are yet to come.

We will either become so arrogant we will create something which we cannot control (we already are with pollution and global warming) Or some genius will figure something out and we will eventually become an Utopia (the former is most likely to happen, ya know blow ourselves up or massive army of robots.

Oh, little kitty. I heard a rumor that you have been run over by a Yahooigan. Happy to see you here. To answer your question, God only knows. All we can do it live one day at time and make the best of it and love others as Jesus taught us. Beyond that I can not say, for only God knows the real answer to that.

Well, the Bible tells us that Jesus will eventually reign as King of the Earth. I can't think of a better thing. And as far as people going to hell...God put Himself in a body and came to this earth and died a horrible death so that through His death and resurrection we might have life. He died for us. All we have to do is accept the gift of salvation He freely gives to us. He doesn't want anyone to go to hell, but judgment will come. He's certainly provided a great way and a free way for us to avoid that.

I believe that the future holds much of what the past does. There is balance in the universe. That means that there will be bad things such as war and unexplained violence. There will also be love, beauty and healing for all those who seek it.

You would have specify how far into the future. if you're talking the next several hundred years, probably business as usual. Ultimately,an evolution to an increasingly transcendental state of being, which is my interpretation of the Kingdom of God on earth.
