OK, so heres the deal... i have 3 Component inputs(as in y ,pb pr) but my projector allows only 2 could i put 1 on 1 nad 2 on another. the reason for this is that i have a harmony and i dont want to have to go and switch it and im not gonna buy a IR av switch. If you didnt under stand what i just said let me sum it up. Can i put 2 component inputs in to 1. and what would happen if they were both on at the same time

No you can't. But you can buy a 2:1 Component switch.
Alternatively, use S-video for the input that is usually standard def.

You could do it but it would look crappy, it would mess up your impedance matching and then you would get reflections in the signal (ghosts)and if both were on at once you would get nothing but garbage out of the display.

You simply can 't because the signals analog and you cannot time multiplex the signal.
