A couple of guys have done this but haven't asked for my number. Should I give it to them anyway? or is that to desperate?

Don't give your number out, ask for there's if they give it to you, then call them, then you will see if they are interested. If you just give your number out, then your desperate, don't give them the advantage. Let them work for it.

If you want to ask them out, then just do it and quit looking for signs or signals. You cannot get anywhere if you are so afraid of rejection that you never make a move.
You only seem desperate if you act too eager or too excited around them. Simply asking them to call you isn't desperate, unless he doesn't like you. Hey, who told you that you could earn a reward without any risk?

I wouldn't give out my number unless you knew them very well. Touching is usually a good sign some body's interested in you.
