There are no gods, and that's the truth.
Jesus, if he existed, is a dead guy.

I believe that the idea's of God that are believed by many in this day and age are derived from folklore that has been passsed down from generation to generation. First verbablly than y the written word. That which people label God is simply the basic building block of life, energy. It's not someone you worship it's a tool that you can use to beter you life and the life of others
There are alot of people that could never love the God of your personal realigion. If you don't believe me take a gander over to http://www.exchristian.net they provide many many reason as to why they no longer like the God of the bible. As for me personally I don't find it as a question of like or dislike. I am not angry at God I don't hate him I simply lost the faith in the faith needed to believe the farie tale was true.

For the 'literalists', the judeo-christian book (bible) speaks of MANY gods. (Psalm 82:1).
But then again there is this notion of it coming from the 'moral-sense argument' that there must be a God, because human beings have an innate understanding of right and wrong, an understanding that God planted in every heart. Another is the 'design argument' - that the world is so complex and makes so much sense that there had to be a guiding intelligence at the center of it all.
Then of course there is deism, pantheism, animism, etc... that speaks of non-anthropomorphic god/s that either interacts with their 'creation' or not.
The fact that you are preaching a PARTICULAR dogma of one of the many notions in Christianity alone (discrediting the beliefs of catholics, baptists, lutherans, pentecostals, etc... so much so with discrediting just as well the muslims, hindus, shintoist, neo-pagans, jews, rastafarians, buddhists, etc...) indicates where you are coming from.
In reason, peace.

"Belief" implies an unknown, a matter of faith, so that if one expresses such a concept, his or her claim is actually meaningless to anyone else. I can write that I "believe" in polytheism, most likely tending toward worship of the Greek gods. What does that mean to you? Are you convinced to alter your "beliefs" based upon my answer? I am doubtful! In truth, I am an agnostic, thus, either I think that god probably is nonexistent, or, if god exists, then "he" is a creator of my imagining named AurL. That declaration, I feel certain, will have no more affect theologically upon you and your "beliefs" then would my polytheistic claim; likewise, your upper case utterance has not moved me toward your religious views.

I am not religious but am spiritual in my own way.
. I believe that there is a God, just one. But I also believe that there are other kinds of spiritual beings, for lack of a better term. Angels, spirits, etc. Helpers. Good and Bad. I do not believe in Hell though.
I also do not believe in going to church. To me organized religion and it's followers are fakes as a whole.
Hope I answered your question.

This is not a funny answer. I firmly believe that the universe is all there is and our goal as humans should be to find out all about the universe. In order to do this the human race must stay alive and evolve. There is no god or devil, no heaven or hell. Just life and no afterlife. Please treat your fellow man humanely and live in peace. And no religious wars.

There is one God and He is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Some one mentioned Psalm 82:1 which says "God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods." In this verse "the gods" means "the judges".

There is only one God and He is Lord of all. He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for the sins of the world. When Jesus was raised from the dead and went to be with His Father in heaven, He left the Holy Spirit with us to guide us. All three are One God - the true God.
In the Bible, it mentions "other gods". If you read it in context, the reference to "other gods" is specifically referring to the peoples' tendency to place other things before God (i.e. money, lust, power, etc.). These are the "other gods" He was referring to.
People did worship "other gods" and called them gods. These false gods are just that - false - and therefore not other gods.
I hope that helps.

nothing governs our universe. the only reason there is religion and gods is so that people could explain things. why are we here? how did we get here? what happens when we die? what is the sun? the moon? now that we know we need to stop pretending that somebody just decided to creat the world in a week. or that men are made of dirt.
