hey!
Idon't think you should go to a hair salon and get one strand highlighted. If you want a better deal, you can go to your local wal-mart if you have one an dbuy some hair dye. It come sin a box forlike 8-10 dollars wiht a lady on the front. Her color hair is the type of hair color that comes in there. And then, you can apply it to your own hair, it is very, extremely simple, oh and trust me, it works, i have done it before. and if you only want one higlighted,, you can just do one, and put the rest of the stuff away incase you ever want to use it again! It is really amazing how it works and it is erally worth it! I think it is a much better deal this way and this way, you can re-higlight your hair anytime you want for half the price of a salon! Good luck in whatever you decide to do! I am sure you'll look beautiful with your new highlight! Hope this helped!

If you just want ONE strand highlighted, I suggest doing it yourself. It will be more than 15-20 dollars to highlight your hair at a salon, even if it is just one strand. If your gonna do it yourself, you might want hair foil. It will keep the strand neat. Also, you may want to have someone do it for you, like a friend. I personally think it always comes out better looking when you have someone else help.

Where do you live? If you live in close to Exton, PA I recommend going to see Lesley at Evolution. She is really good and will listen to what you have to say. I have really curly hair and am very picky about what I do with it so I always make sure that the stylist knows exactly what I want before I will let them come anywhere near my hair. If you really don't know what you want to do with your hair get some inspiration from the internet or ask the stylist what she recommends. Also never go to a place like Hair Cuttery, the stylists at places like that never listen to what you have to say they just kind of do what they want, go to a salon that isn't a chain.

It depends on how much ur willing to risk on it. if u don't mind messing up you could try it for yourself, but the people at a salon are pros and they can do it much better than you can. If u can spend the money do it. Besides it probably evens out with the time and effort put into buying and highlighting your hair.

It's always worth going to the salon to get your hair done. Those people know what they are doing, esp if you have curly, black or asian type hair.
Get a manicure/pedicure or eyebrow wax while you are there to make the trip seem worthwhile.
Treating yourself to a "mini-spa" is ALWAYS worth it!
Have fun

If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, or don't know what you're doing... then, yes, it's worth it to go the salon and pay to get it done right.

heck no. It's so simple to do.
Just use tin foil when you have the peroxide in it so that the bleach doesnt spread.
