Shaving is the most common - but in an area that sensitive, you're inviting lots of pain in the form of razor burn and ingrown hair. Waxing is also popular, but difficult to do yourself, expensive and embarrassing to have someone else do, and also extremely painful.
What I usually use is a Femini electric trimmer to bring the pubes down to stubble length. I then use a Seiko Cleancut electric razor to shave them down even further. It doesn't get the area quite as smooth as using shaving cream and a safety razor, but it gets the job done well enough and doesn't leave razor burn or encourage ingrown hairs.

The only way to do it somewhat comfortably is laser. Once the laser "zaps" the hair, it is gone for good. Laser can be somewhat uncomfortable at times, but it's not painful like waxing or shaving. Laser is not cheap, and takes a while to get the job done completely...however, you will notice amazing results after your first treatment. Because you have to wait for another cycle of hair growth inbetween treatments, the visits will be scheduled 6-7 weeks apart. You may be able to make payments as you go, which will save you having to fork over the money all at once. Visit a few laser places and get price quotes and ask what their payment plan is.
This is worth the money. Waxing costs add up after a while and it can be very painful. Shaving grows back fast and can also cause problems.

I personally use to shave all the time just because I hate the crap, but now I've gotten kind of lazy and I just bought a hair trimmer for women and I trim a least once every 1-2 weeks. You can buy trimmers at your local drug store, they're usually around the mens beard trimmers.
Its the best invention ever!

Jane as a man I trim it with barber scissors, however you may want to take it down shorter than that. A razor is cheap and works but its a pain in the ***. I wouldn't use Nair there it will burn. Go and get a bikini wax, my girlfriend did it long before she met me and still does and we both enjoy it. You can also feel more when there is less hair. Good day.

Try a lotion hair remover made specifically for that area. The lotions smell funny but they are comfortable to use. Just go to the section of the drug or grocery store with razors and shave cream and there are many different brands.

Yeah everyones is and theres no painless way to get rid of it besides using like veet or nair but they dont work so well. If i were you i'd get laser hair removal or waxing. Its painful but it takes the hair away for a long time

Pretty much, I've found there is no comfortable way. Shaving causes ingrown hairs and razor burn, waxing stings, and creams don't work all that well. Sorry!

Find a soy-based wax. Just tried it m'self at a wax-r-us type of salon. It's a hard wax that is just GREAT! It's just wax that you let cool off and instead of using strips of cloth to pull off the hair --- wax does it on it's own --- with the help of your salon-wax expert, of course!

No matter what you do, shaving, waxing....whatever....it is going to cause a rash or razor burn. Get some good moisturizing lotion and lotion up all day before you shave, wax, whatever, and use it plenty afterwards. It really helps.

Shower - sensitive skin shave gel - 4-blade razor *battery-powered is better for a closer, smoother shave* then lotion. Shave it all off or into a pattern, whatever works for you.
PS -- everyone's is coarse and curly - it's the nature of the beast.
