Yes, the enamel on her teeth will weaken from too much acid. Kids today drink way too much juice; they should be eating fruit and drinking milk or water. Keep offering her water, especially on a hot day. And water down the OJ so that she isn't over doing that.

My niece would only drink juice, and now she has a mouth full of caps, and is only 5 years old. Just heard a doctor say on TV today, that too much juice will literally take the enamel off the teeth, and if you drink very much, you should use a straw. Gradually, weaken it with water. Make sure she brushes her teeth, often. By the juice, if you must, that has calcium. But best thing is, just don't buy it. If it isn't in the house, she will gradually drink something else.

Juice of any kind is very high in sugar, so NO it is not a good full time drink. After a glass or two, water is better. As for the calcium in milk, you can get orange juice enriched with calcium, but that's back to too much sugar.
Try thinning the juice gradually with water to wean her off it.

All kinds of juice need to be limited to about 6 oz a day. Juice is the soda of toddlers, high in calories and not great for the teeth. The acidic qualities of OJ make it worse on the teeth.
Milk is important because of calcium and healthy fats and protein. If she doesn't drink milk, she needs the dairy in another form, like yogurt or cheese.
Unfortunately, nothing can substitute the importance of water. It works better than anything at keeping her hydrated, flushing out impurities in the body, and helping to absorb nutrients.
You need to figure out a way to get out of this cycle pretty quickly.
At our house, my kids love 'juice water', which it what they call the fruit-flavored water. We also made the switch to end the overuse of juice. Most brands don't have sweeteners or an abundance of additives, and it's a good compromise in the battle of the beverages. Nestle, I know for sure, has an orange splash flavor.

If she only likes orange juice that is fine. There is a lot of sugar in juice, even the unsweetened ones, so she should only have the equivalent of two sippy cups a day.
You can give her yogurt or cheese to ensure she gets enough dairy.
Two sippy cups of orange juice should be fine for her stomach. But if you are worried, dairy products like yogurt and cheese are basic and will counteract the acidity in orange juice.

too much orange juice can be a little rough on the stomach. try cutting the orange juice with water to dilute it a bit. she will hardly notice if you put a little bit of water in at a time. Try to have her get calcium in other forms (cheese, yogurt). Also, ask you pediatrician if she should be taking the flinstone daily vitamins - she might not have to if she is eating all the right foods. Good Luck

Well you don't want to give to much juice cause of the sugar and i don't know why that one person said juice is better then water it's not. What about flavored water maybe she'll drink it that way and milk try to give it to her but you could do other source of calcium

Pediatricians recommend just one cup of juice a day so you may want to dilute it with water to stretch it out. Try mixing milk and orange juice to make like a creamsicle. I gave that to my son once because I thought he was drinking milk and I put milk in his OJ. He loved it.

Don't worry about it, she'll get bored with it soon and like something else. She is just flexing her newfound ability to make a steadfast decision. Mine has been wearing the same skirt for like 3 weeks, before that it was eat only salami and water.....it changes enjoy watching a little person develop.

Should be fine as long as her stools remain normal. It may be a phase. My 5 yr old only drank oj for about 6 months. I saw that minute maid has the "kids" orange juice. Now, he doesn't drink it. He now likes Sunny D or something else. Good luck.
