My ex bf got arrested for starting a fire. He told me not to tell anyone. I didnt and he thought I did until I explained to him I would never do that.
It turns out, his best friend told everyone at school. I over heard his friend with a group of guys saying,"Yeah, he got in sooo much trouble for starting the fire." And I told him that it was his friend, and I don't think he believes me.
Please help, I don't want to get in another fight with him.

Woa wait a minute, why is he starting fires in the first place?? CREEEPY! Run girl run. I think he sounds psychotic so cut your loses and move on. One he's a freak for starting fires and two if he can't trust you then he is a paranoid freak. Sounds like a villian from a movie of the week.

My very first thought about this whole problem is , If this dude is your bf, then why don't he trust you enough to except that you did not tell?
Secondly, the best way to make him belive you is to get him in a room with the dude that told and bring some of the dudes he told it to then tell him again you didnt tell on him and point out the person that did tell, the person you point to will of course deny telling, but then the other guys will be like, " yeah you did, you told us to" then your bf will learn to trust you more. Now my question to you is , do you really want to stay bf/gf with someone that dont trust you? think on it.

Just tell him the truth and leave it at that, and tell him that if anyone says you told them that you want to have a conversation with him and that person...that way if you are being lied about you will have your chance to confront the liar.

Don't sweat it... Especially if he's an ex.. Tell his friend the situation he got you in with his big mouth and that she should tell your ex what you heard him say and to whom... You always have the others to fall back on to prove your silence.

yea my boyfriend accuses me of stuff like that too. I was told that people accuse/hurt the ones closest to them because they know they'll love them no matter what.

Well hon..he's Your EX!! Soo..why does it matter if he's mad at you or if he's gonna fight you? Tell him to back off, he doesn't have anything to do with you anymore.
