I don't listen to Akon's music... or much hip-hop, for that matter. What is the legal age for sexual consent in Trinidad? This girl was 14-15, you say. If the legal age is 18, then yes, maybe Akon should go to jail if the police get wind of this. And we all know what prison time can do to a superstar's career. I would say that Akon will be dropped from his label and be over soon. Sad.

I don't listen to Akon. I don't buy his music. Can't even say I am a fan. But I do question the parents of the underaged girl allowing her to go to such a concert.

I went to my first concert when I was 13. It was to see KISS, and my father went with me. He was a fan too. But point is, my parents knew who I was going to see in concert, and they knew the reputations of the artists. If they didn't like the rep of the artist, I didn't go. My parents were pretty liberal, but I think they would have died before I would have been able to see Akon under the age of 18. Maybe less artists would be in trouble for crimes against minors if more parents did what my parents did.

2. She willingly got on the stage
3. She shouldn't have been in the concert as it was strictly over 18's only.
4. What is Akon supposed to do? Ask for ID if someone gets on the stage?

I feel bad that women in general can still expect this kind of behavior from men. It's gross, dude, and it should embarrass the guy who did it, but I doubt it does.

I just read about that. Its the daughter of a pastor at a church there. Very nice. Its not good.
