No he couldn't, because that would be stupid.

Only humans create situations which they can not control.

But if you are fishing for some type of limitations God has, then just read the Bible.

The Bible clearly states that God can not lie. So there are some limits to his abilities. So you should be happy now that you can do something God can't.

This is called a contradiction, and its basis resides in human intellectual frailty. It says nothing about any god, existent or nonexistent. It merely exploits mans inability to understand logic.

Omnipotent doesn't mean that one can do something that cannot be done, merely that one has power over all. Having "all power" doesn't mean that one can do something that one cannot do. To create a rock too heavy to lift would mean that one was bound by gravity, and presumably, a god has no such limitations.

The argument goes that if god cannot create a rock that is too heavy to lift, he is therefore not omnipotent. This is simply faulty logic. Ommipotence implies a nature unbound by the restrictions of physicality. As such, it is impossible for a deity to create such an object, for to do so would imply being bound by his own creation.

If there were any object in all of creation that God didn't have absolute power over He wouldn't be the Almighty God. Therefore it is impossible for such a rock to exist. It's like asking if God could create a round square or a God more powerful than Himself. By definition these things don't exist.

Not really, cause no matter how big he makes it he will still be bigger. Actually, the bigger he makes it the bigger he will be cause he is the rock, too.

Then again, I don't think he would pick up the rock, even if he could. He would just let it float around, maybe put some bacteria on it and see if anything is alive when he comes back in another few million years.

He does in you. You are part of God. You can't pick up the rock. He's also the rock, of course.
At the same time, he can pick up the rock.
Part of the nature of being all powerful. It means he can and cannot, both, to be a deity that "Does Everything".

God is not a man.

However God and Jesus are one. If it were jesus's purpose not to lift the rock then he would not be able to. Since jesus's purpose was to spread the message of love and God he was not strong enough to lift large rocks. So my answer is that he already has :)

P.S. Technically if God is everything then he is the rock as well as the man.

We understand the rock formation process and it does not require supernatural assistance; and it is a good thing since there is no God to help us out.
