i would call a vet and ask because i am not sure.

I have a dachshund myself and i only walk him, he has an obsession with constantly fetching a ball so i dont run him often because he seems to get worn out sooner than my other dogs but i dunno, i would say ask your dogs vet because it probably depends on the age/size etc of your pup
