1. It's okay to cry and be sad. A break up is a death of sorts...you go through the same stages of denial, anger, frustration, bargaining, acceptance
2. Surround yourself with family and friends. People who can get you talking and thinking of other things than yourself. You'll still need to deal with the pain when they go away, but real friends will do what they can to give you a break from yourself.
3. Avoid talking to/seeing the ex. It'll only make things worse. Ask a friend to delete his contact info from your cell or email if you don't have it in you to do it.
4. Keep yourself busy...the sooner you have a new life filled with things to look forward to, the easier it will be to get through this.
5. Remember, you do not need to be with him, or really anybody, to lead a true and fulfilling life. Take advantage of the single life--coming & going wherever you want, stuff like that
Last, it's called a break up because it's broken. If it got to this point, it was never going to work out in the long term anyway. You're both better off now.

How old are you???
Anyway, talk to more guys. You don't have to be attracted to all of them. But socializing with your existing friends and new people is a great way to take your mind off what's bothering you. And the more new guys you talk to, the greater the chance you have in meeting someone that's cool and good looking.
