No. With Shimano stuff, the word is "replace"

Seriously, it's not meant to be repaired or serviced beyond ordinary lube and adjust.

STIs can't be repaired. Shimano doesn't make replacement parts.

As for 'beating up on shimano', no one said repairing ergopower was easy, just that it at least _can_ be done, unlike shimano.

Still, you're better off replacing the STI shifters than converting to campy. You can get good used STIs on ebay real cheap. If you convert to campy, you'll need shifters and derailleur...way more cash.

Time for a new shifter if you think it's the problem. Campy are no walk in the park to fix either so stop beating up on Shimano.

You don't repair Shimano shifters, you replace them.
