If life is part of "creation" then DNA is the blueprint or design. However, today, after a mere 4000 years of human civilization, humans can manipulate genetic information to create totally different species or forms of life. Right now agriculturalists have crossed tomatoes with...FISH to create a more frost resistant veggie.

Why would God allow humans to essentially take-over the life design business? The only thing stopping us from crossing monkeys with birds are regulatory agencies. We can clone humans, or design them as we chose...isnt the creator now usurped?

Seems to me, if there was a God creator, he would make it such that his creation couldnt take over the business of creating.

Maybe Genesis is talking about genetic engineering when it says animals were made AFTER THEIR KIND. I take it to mean that modern animals were made after the dna likeness of prehistoric animals. The same thing for man except, he was also made in the image of God, being able to communicate with God spiritually.

What is more in Genesis 6 we have the fallen angels who mated with human women to produce genetically altered individuals called nephilim. In other ancient texts it talks more about the fallen angels, Watchers, and gives more details on the cross-species experiments they were doing on men and animals alike. This is right before Noah's flood, and is a reason for the flood.

Interestingly enough, Christ says that in the end days, it will be just like it was in the days of Noah. So we can expect the return of nephilim. Just this past week there was an very interesting article called Did Ancient Biotech Create "Nephilim"? Will Modern Science Bring Them Again? See the link.

In any event what you question, has apparently been around from the beginning. After all Eve, was created from Adam's RIBonucleic acid. Just kidding.

We are really intelligent. We have broken the atom and learned to splice genes together in a petri dish. Yet our liver synthesizes around 300 different compounds--God beat us to the punch.

Humanity has made proteins, hormones, etc., but they have never been able to create just one living cell. And scientists who acknowledge facts know there is not enough time in eternigy for one cell to form--just to complex. And should one just happen, then oxygen and u.v. rays would quickly destroy it.

When I see a clump in my yard where a dog randomly selected a dumping zone, I know that is random selection. When I see a majestic peacock fan his feathers with an array of beautiful colors and designs, then I see Intelligent Design.

There is a secret Bible code that reveals the timing of God's controversy on this planet. See if you can break the code at www.revelado.org/revealed.htm. It will answer some of your questions, including who your Creator is.

Blessings, One-Way

All that mankind is really doing is, tampering with the things created, polluting the planet, and destroying the Eco systems of this earth. If the creator does not step in (and he is doing this very soon) the entire planet will be uninhabitable not suited for human life. This is why Jehovah warns us that he will destroy those ruining the earth. You may wonder how it will be accomplished then? Jehovah God tells us at Revelation 11:18 (NW) that he will “bring to ruin those ruining the earth!!!

You remind me of the guy that told God that he too could create a man from dust. God shrugged and said "go ahead". So the man picks up some dirt to get busy and God says "hey, get yer own dirt".

Point being, we can take a fish that already exists and use its DNA to add to a tomato, which already exists, and we can blend these two already created things into one thing.

But we can't make a fish from scratch, or a tomato, or the sun to beat down on the tomato plant, or the water for the fish to swim ... and it goes on and on.

We are made in the image of the Creator. He created us to communicate with and enjoy. We then have brains with endless capabilities. I wonder if He is pleased with our God given accomplishments that are unethical? He does give us free will to use our brains to learn, grow and make the right decisions or not. We can not take over the business of the Creator but we are Heirs.

What you describe is not creating, but assembling. We do not know how many hairs grow from our head; we do not know intimately how to breathe, only discovered that we can. Which muscles do we contract, and which do we relax, in order to take a breath, or get up and walk across the room? Even if we knew, that "knowledge" is still just discovery of an already existent state "outside" of us, that we must examine from outside.

God does not create in the way the world thinks of creating. God is constantly creating, in a joyous, loving, ecstatic dance of infinite vitality. God is not assembling parts that "He" discovered, but has no intimate knowledge of.

Does anyone know the long term consequences of eating a tomato fish yet? There will be strange effects from playing God. Even test tube babies, 30 years later, are proving to have higher rates of cancer, diabetes and some other diseases. We are messing where we shouldn't be.

God Bless.

Why should God have to worry about it? He is God!! He may have created the world in six days, but He could have done it in six milliseconds. Besides, don't they say that imitation is the purest form of flattery? There are an awful lot of God wanna-bes out there.

couple of things..

1.We are made in God's image, we procreate and have babies.. and yes.. we have figured out a way to do things like you say...

2. Amalgomation.. Ellen G. White in her writings, talks about the days of Noah.. why do you think the flood took place...

3. In revelation and Daniel, talks about how we are living in the last days.. compares the last days to the days of noah..

The Bible is the truth, you can find answers there to such questions..

Or perhaps it is that we as individualized sparks of God, that it was meant for us to be co creators with God.

All in the grand design of "All That Is"
