I don't know about the rest of you, but I beleive in an ever-loving God. The story of Adam and Eve doesn' really promote that.
Take for example when Eve is "born" from Adam's rib. That makes no sense! If it's true, then why aren't men giving birth from their ribs?
About the whole thing how Adam eats the apple and chokes on it, leaving an "Adam's Apple" on some men for the rest of their lives. First off, if you choke on an apple, you die! Second, why did the same apple bite come out on some men? Third, When's the last time YOU took a perfect circle-shaped bite out of an apple?
Also, just because Adam and Eve did wrong, doesn't mean we all have to face the "punishment" for what two people did. Like, say you get an F in Math, because of it, your mom says "You and your children, and your children's children, and your children's children's children's children's children will pay!!!". Does that make sense to you?
I'm not saying Adam & Eve aren't true, i'm saying their tales are a bit odd

By the way, this isn't God's word, it's his "prophets" word which has been passed down from people to more people.

it is a narrative..not word for word literal..there are some things lost in translation..the gist of the events are what is important..
you seem irritated by something..if you do not want to believe in a greater source, then you have that choice..no need to get angry..

Where did you get that story about "Adam's Apple"? It's not in the Bible.
Also, the Bible never said anything about Adam giving birth to Eve thought his ribs !
The sin of Adam and Eve led to a change in their genetic makeup. Children do inherit the genes of their parents.
Read your Bible before you make such strange assertions.

sounds like you take peoples word of what God is, over His word.. you can't learn about God if you don't read His word.. where in the bible does it talk about Adam's apple.. and does it make sense to you that god made men from clay?? from dust you came to dust you shall return.. in modern terms it shouldn't. .. God cursed the women with the child bearing..the man with labor.. Humanity chose sin.. Adam chose to bite the apple.. and now we.. his children have inherited the trait.. anyway.. it all comes down to one choice for you
are you going to believe that the Bible is the Word of God, or just a bunch of stories with some truth to them..

First of all, you are mixing truth (biblical) with myth. The adam's apple is just myth (nonbiblical). The story of Adam and Eve is truth, God's Word. Who are we to decide how God should've created Adam? Just because all the stories that are true in God's Word, do not make total sense to you, due to your (and everyone's) limited mind, doesn't invalidate them. My Faith in God and His infallible Word is far superior than my puny limited mind. Let go and let God!

The story is simply not true. It was designed to teach a moral lesson of the people of old. People today are smarter than that now.

I do - it's just more of the propaganda that is woven throughout the bible, this of the most sexist kind. It's the biggest crock of **** I've ever heard. My son came to that conclusion totally on his own by the time he was 8 years old. So, if even a kid can see it for the crap it is, then it's pretty obvious, isn't it?
