I'm a 16 year old oco-lacto vegetarian, currently 5"10 and 150 pounds. I'm not particularly overweight, but I'm often tired after going up one flight of stairs or walking briskly for ten minutes. I'd like to firm up my lower body, increase the strenth of my upper body, and increase my general fitness. I've already resolved to take over my own grocery shopping, so I can control what I eat. Now I just need a fairly quick exercise routine that doesn't require a gym membership or a whole lot of time.

I meant turning fat into muscle figuratively, not literally. I don't expct to wave a wand and magically change fat into muscle XD Using cans... I've never thought of that. Cans of beans can serve a double use. Stairs I can definitely do. I love beans and rice, so no worries there. I'm also taking pre-natal vitamins, just for the iron content.

Fat doesn't turn to muscle, you can improve your muscle tone by climing stairs, doing simple weight training, you can use cans of soup, beans, etc. to start out with. Also, walking hills or stairs backwards is great for firming the gleuts.

It's also important to make sure you are geting all the aminio acids your body needs to build up existing muscle. Beans and rice in combo are a good choice.
