I have never been very good at articulating what i am feeling- especially in the heat of the moment... words get jumbled up, meanings are lost and I always forget crucial things that I want to say... Ever since I was a kid I have always broached difficult subjects with a letter.
I have been seeing this guy for 15 months. We broke up a few months into it, but started seeing each other again as friends and eventually started sleeping together again about 6 months ago. Things are great. We have a blast. Recently when asked by a stranger if I was his girlfriend he said "Good question" (I was standing right there). Later I asked him the same question and he said if he was gonna have a g/f it would be me, but he doesn't have time for a healthy relationship. Huh? I feel our relationship is already healthy, I just wanted to know if he sees me in his future. You know- the long haul. I wrote a letter asking just that and basically telling him I don't want his time, just his heart.

Is it a good idea to give him the letter or should I try to talk to him about it? I want to give him the letter so he has time to think and doesn't feel pressured to make a desision right there you know?

if you want a long term relationship with him you will need to get past the awkwardness ---- sit down comfortable with plenty of time and just talk --- maybe have the letter there so you can get the main points --- maybe dont put labels on the relationship just enjoy being together

I think writing a letter is a great idea. Sometimes it helps to put what your feeling in writing. I understand how it can be when you want to talk to someone, and all the wrong things come out, and then you think of all these other things that you should have & could have said. And if you are sleeping together, and eveything is going great - what does he think a "healthy" relationship is. Or is there someone else ni his life. And if he doesn't see a future with you, or doesn't have the time to try and have something with you. Wel then...... he just ain't worth it !!!! Don't just have sex with him to be with him, you want him with you also.
