Christians: What do you teach your children about masturbation?

Question

Have you confided to your kids that you too masturbate or used to do it?

Or did you tell them an outright LIE??

Because LYING is a SIN, but LYING to your kids amounts to TREASON, you know?

The act of masturbating is an empowering act because it puts you in control of your own pleasure. When someone masturbates they are not relaying on the state, god, or their parents for their satisfaction but are finding it themselves. While this may seem like a small thing allowing anyone this kind of freedom in very restrictive societies can be dangerous.

I don't have any children but I tell people that masturbation is not mentioned in the Bible and invite them to look at a couple of links and make up their own mind as to whether or not the practice is acceptable for them.

I taught my sons that it is a sin against the temple of God, the body being the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, received in Baptism, and is a very serious sin to Catholics.

I seriously doubt that most youngsters wish to discuss masturbation with their parents. But if mine had asked I would say the same thing I’ve said on here so many times. It’s normal.

sit down and explain them what you think is best for them to learn about this topic. Teaching starts at home!

I will tell my children that it is a natural bodily function and was put there for a reason and if God can't deal with that then I can't deal with him or it or her or whatever.

my parents dont talk to me about masterbation. They infer i know its not right. i still do it tho, even tho i try not to.
