Since a mac is less susceptible to viruses and all that, any site you choose should be fine. I know that Limewire is mac compatible and has a Preferences setting that will automatically send your files to iTunes.

Limewire? I'm not sure if it works on a mac, but it works good on windows people tell me. I usually don't download music, and if I do, I use iTunes.

iTunes
come on its only a little here and a little there
im sure people have uploaded music on the internet though. Go to dogpile.com and click on the Audio tab, and search your song. All over the internet people's always using and sharing music. you can just copy and paste a music url (one that ends in *.mp3, etc) and it'd open up in your music player (like windows media player) and u can save it on ur desktop to listen later on.
but yeah. stick with iTunes if u gotta be safe.

You can't download music for free legally...it's always illegal. If you're not paying, the company isn't getting the money they deserve.
