I have to go with Jeff Gordon. It pains me to say it.. but they have the momentum, the driver, the equipment. Eventually the other teams will catch up... Gibbs is close. But I dont think the catching up with happen until the poconos or Daytona in July.

It all comes down to momentum and tire conservation. I think Jimmie Johnson is capable of going on a run considering the All Star race is coming up and the Coca-Cola 600 as well. Hendrick domination will continue and Gordon, Kyle Busch, and Casey Mears should all be in contention for the win. Of course, the real test in Darlington is to make sure you don't get too many "Darlington Stripes."

Jimmie Johnson

Well, Jimmie Johnson has the best average finish at Darlington and swept both races there in 2004 (plus he's not looking too bad this year). Jr is good there but DEI's COT program has not looked that good so far. The one Ford to consider would be Biffle, he just seems to have bad luck every time he's running good. Denny Hamlin and Smoke have led in every COT race this year and seem to be on par with the Hendrick cars. I think it will be either Denny or JJ.

Jeff Gordon. He did the tire test at Darlington for Goodyear in the COT about 6-7 weeks ago and personally selected the right side tire they would use this weekend. Plus he is always awesome there and now awesome in the COT. Hendrick domination continues.

Well Gordon, Johnson, and maybe Kyle Busch will be near the front. But I will pick a upset and go with Carl Edwards here because Roush-Fenway cars have been good here the past few years.

Cole Trickle will fall to Russ Wheeler, with Rowdy Burns finishing a distant 3rd.
