I just started tanning, but I broke out in a rash all over my chest. It itches and looks like bug bites. I usually tan in the spring for about a month, but I have never broken out in a rash. Any ideas?

Sunbaby.... your days are over, you have sun poisoning. Do you have splotches of rash-like redness on your body? If so you may want to see a doctor. I as well tanned and have this problem now. The UV rays are really bad for your skin and I'm sure you already no this, but can cause skin cancer. Thats what I ended up with. They had to cut-out my cancer and do a skin graph, because I waited to go to the doctor. If this doesn't go away within a few days I would recommend making an apointment to see your family doctor. DO NOT TAN OR EXPOSE YOUR SKIN TO ANY SUN until you have this checked out.

Don't want to freak you out but stuff like this could be serious.

Good Luck!~

yeah sun poisoning you had too much exposure to the sun and heat at once from the bed. Stay out of the sun and when you do tan again after a while...do it gradually...trust me i live in Vegas and it is super hot here and we like to tan too...but you have to moderate it....good luck....oh and benedryl for sure

"Sun poisoning"...sometimes your skin says "whoa, that's it, we hate the sun now" and you get it when your skin says you've had too much sun.

Take some benadryl and don't tan or lay out. Your days as a bronzed god are over.

It could also be the products and the cleaning they use to clean to beds. Sometimes its really strong and it does that to a lot of people.
