A nice idea is to make flowers out of paper plates and construction paper.

1. Pre cut pedals for the flower
2. have the kids paint the paper plates.
3. Stapel the pedals to the paper all the way around
4. let them pick out a color of ribbon.
5. attach to cover seam of plate and pedals & to back to allow for hanging.
6. glue picture of child inside plate
7. write happy mothers day 2007.

looks great and ready for display

I run and in home day care and last year I took paint and painted my child's hands and feet and put them on a piece on construction paper. I then took a marker and but the child's name and date that the project was done. I had several parents that took them and put them in a frame to keep.

Make your own nontoxic fingerpaint using sweetened condensed milk and food coloring. It dries glossy. Then give them heart shaped pieces of paper to decorate and give to their mom.
