IF there is one god then why:
-is there so many diff. religions, how do u know which one is true?

-magic, miracles & voodoo.. whats the difference? its almost the same... these "miracles" are the same as magic..

-how do u know god is a god & not the devil in disguise?

One God many Demons..Why? because many choose to believe a lie rather than search for truth and wait for revelation. EDIT Those who love the truth seek him and those receive a gift from God called faith and through faith comes revelation and a personal relationship with God. We do not know God by our wisdom but by his revelation.
All of this is by revelation. God reveals his truth to those who seek him. Only God can prove himself to you. As stated you can have a personal relationship with the real God.

I hear a lot of talk about brainwashing. Brainwashing for what purpose? If i believe in God and the Bible how does that serve anyone Else's purpose? Besides if i am going to be brainwashed perhaps being brainwashed to believe i should help others and be nice to my neighbor and care for the weak and be a good person isn't such a bad thing. If more people held on to these thoughts the world might just be a pretty nice place. i am not brainwashed by the way. i see the truth and try to follow the path that leads toward goodness. The only other path leads to self denial criticism pain and hate. I don't want to hate anyone. Peace to you.

Religions are man made laws used to control people within the church. Thats why there are so many different ones. Magic and voodoo are used through the spirit world of darkness, they came from witchery and satanic worship. Miracles are performed on people by the Holy Spirit, Thus using Sprite filled people to work through. When a person is filled with the Holy Spirit, one of the many gifts of the Holy Spirit is Healing. Don't misunderstand it is not the person laying the hands on people, it the Holy Spirit working through them. And yes there is alot of fake preachers out there, in it only for the money, the Bible teachers of false teachers in the end times (now). It also states that we are to stay away from false teachers. If I knew that something was said, teached, showed, are asked money for in return for lets say a miracle. I would immediately turn from that Church and never go back. False teachers are only leading people straight to Hell not to Heaven. Oh and God is not Satan in disguise. Satan was a fallen angel, He wanted to be God and actually thought he could take over, Well he along with everything else was created by God. Satan was cast out of Heaven along with the angels that sided with him and cast into Hell. If your husband is a believer and If I understood correctly, what has he said about the church. I was just courious, Maybe none of my business, I just wondered his thoughts on the whole thing.

you have to figure out which one is real for yourself. hint: God rewards those who diligently seek Him. there are many religions because people made many and some were influenced by demonic activity.

miracles are done by God, magic/voodoo is done by witchcraft: the illegal summoning of supernatural power.

His sheep know His voice

Jonah was in the fish for 3 days, not 7.

I can understand disbelief, but if you trust God, you transcend it eventually. Besides, logically, a preacher'd have to be a millionaire to have 'the healed' on a pay-role. God says to test the spirits. so just because that preacher may have been 'funny', doesn't mean all are. If He didn't acknowledge Jesus Christ/the Holy Spirit as the source of that healing power, there's a 90% chance it was phony. otherwise, benefit of the doubt.

You don't have to eat everything in the grocery store to go shopping there. God is not about miracles. God is around us every moment. Your "doubts" are very well-founded but have nothing to do with your personal belief.

Have you ever seen a glorious sunset and wondered how it came to be? Have you ever heard a magnificent choir or seen a giant redwood tree?

ever seen a tornado up close? Or laid on your back and watched the shooting stars criss cross the Milky Way?

What part of you is touched by the Eternal Now that you experience during these moments?

Are you sure you are alone? I don't think you are so sure.

Yes, I do. I believe in the bible. I see the promises god has made past and present always happen or happening. I don't believe in people dropping on the floor. Though I do know people who have been in the final stages of cancer cured. Miracle of god? I don't know. I know the punishment for sin is death. This world isn't right because of sin. Disobedience to god. Our will over his. I believe god can do all things. I also know he will change things because he promises he will. Religion has people behind it they make mistakes then they tell it for truth. If you test it. You will see the bible is the only truth out there. That's up to you. He gives you a choice. You can either draw closer to him or not. The bible says god is love. If you read it and get to know him you will see he's not the devil.

All the questions you ask have one simple answer.

Faith.

That “believing without seeing.” Word.

Personally I think God is too big to be owned by one religion. If any church tells you they are the only true path they are supremacists and should be avoided at all costs.

I spent almost twenty years studying religions looking for God. I’ve been in a few different faiths myself.

It’s a personal journey. You seek answers but they come with a cost. Faith is the price you will have to pay. When it comes to God, or magic, or anything Esoteric you have to take it on gut feeling. You have to use your own personal logic. If it sounds good to you then go for it. If it fits in your own personal reality then it’s good for you!

I wish you the best of luck on your search! May God bless you in your quest for Illumination!

It's called faith. I know God IS GOD. I know that the only way to the Father is through His Son. Maybe what you saw at that church was real, maybe not. I know I've been to a few that really do a major injustice to the Word of God. Maybe you should look for a new church, I don't know. Try praying and reading His Word. I know I've seen enough real miracles in my own life to know that it couldn't have happened any other way. I will pray for you. God Bless.

Oh, and Jonah was in the fish for 3 days, not 7.

its really good to hear that you havet this question, and the answer is that God is true, there is such thing as God. as for the devil, back in bible times, satan( the devil ) was one of Gods angels but he didnt like his possision in God's kingdom and rebelled. He lied to Adam and Eve in the garden of eden saying that if they ate the apple they would be like God and see all good and bad. now you gotta take into consideration that Adam and Eve were perfect, and since they sinned because God told them not to eat the fruit, they became inperfect and thats why we are imperfect too. in the bible it says that sin spred to all man from Adam, cuz he sinned, thats why we have soo much bad in the World today. But. Jesus did give his life for us as a ransom sacrafice and that gives us a chace to be perfect once again, If u truely wanna learn more, contact Jehovah;s Wittnesses. We most likely come to your door on saturday mornings, so next time u decide that u dont wanna talk to them, or just dont feel like answering the door, its truely your loss and u really should take the time to listen, everything they say is backed up from the bible which is Gods word to us. I hope i was able to answer ur question, if not, i deff think u should contact Jehovah;s Wittnesses

To my knowledge, only one man who walked this earth could perform miracles, and that was Jesus Christ. He gave his disciples the power to heal the sick back during the biblical times. This hasn't been done for nearly 2000 years. Satan will try to trick you and deceive you. Let your faith in God re
veal the truth. Walk in the path of righteousness and let not your heart be deceived. Remember that "truth" is not revealed in what you see, but in what you feel. This is the Glory of God.
