fear 'Death'. ???

Please don't say you don't fear it. I can tell a lot of you do by the answers you have given to other questions.

I am not christian, but i do have my beliefs.

Therefore when my time comes i will embrace it. And i know for a 'fact' that it will not and could not be heaven 'or' hell.

No pasting please. Only straight from the horses mouth....

Dear Meriam, I actually was classified as dead one time and had to be resuscitated. And nearly dead another time (hazzardous job).
Now i am training to be a psychic and actually have dealings with the spirit world.

Nobody 'wants' to die 'usually', that goes against our animal/survival instinct.

Well, I have my beliefs and I'm not particularly concerned about what happens after death, but come on!

Death is so...different. I'm not used to it. Even when I was really suicidal, I was somewhat scared of death because I'd never done it before.

I saw death as a difficult solution to a difficult problem (life.)

But that fear never went away, even though I thought about suicide and death pretty much all the time.

Humans don't like change. Death is the biggest change you can go through, because no matter what you do while you're alive, no matter what condition you're in or how much money you have or what you think or feel...you're still alive. That's the one constant in everybody's life.

So people are a little nervous about changing what they've been used to their entire life.

Gotta tell ya, I am just against the whole death thing. If I die how am I going to be around when they invent things like Star Trek stuff? Personally I want to be like those immortal guys in the movies, but then of course you are always watching your back looking for some oddball with a sword looking to chop your head off. What I fear about death is getting to the pearly gates and them requiring answers to math story problems to get in. God, I will be there for months.

I'll admit I fear pain, but I can honestly say I do not fear death.
Facing death head on might be intimidating depending on the circumstance - for example, if someone were to break into my house right now and point a gun at me, all I would be able to think of was "how can I get the children out of the way?"

Personally, I'm not sure if I believe in the "afterlife", and I don't follow any religion. However, I think that you may be mistaking "fear of death" with "fear of the unfinished".
Everyone has business to finish, dreams to achieve, before they die. Whether it is that beautiful girl that you could have married, or that spacious house that you could have bought, or that perfect job that you could have landed.
Sadly, we can't complete everything we ever set out to do, and this can cause people a lot of grief.

Actually, I don't fear death. I have come to terms with live and death some time ago.

If Christians really believed what they say they believed...they would not fear death either - just as Jesus did not fear death. But the same could be said for many religions.

The mind believing something is different than deeply knowing in your bones (your self).

I can honestly say that I don't fear death. I know what really happens to us when we die because the Bible tells us. We return to dust. It also says that there will be a resurrection. I have nothing to fear, I have fully put my trust in Jehovah my God. Unlike most, who merely claim to be christian, I know that the Bible does not teach "heaven" and "hell" to the degree that some people would have you believe. That's my two cents worth...
Have a good day.

Nobody wants to die. That a natural instinct God gave us to keep us from putting ourselves in dangerous places. That's why when a car is coming we like to go ahead and get out of the road instead of standing in the middle.

I recently seen death or dieing for a Christian to die is very peaceful even if you die horribly.

Well I cannot answer this question if you say I cannot say I don't fear death because I don't. I was raised to believe that death is a natural biological function of life and there is nothing to be feared in terms of it. It is just the final stage of life.

Anyway, some of you will think I am nuts, or a devil, but anyway. The Creator showed me that part of the Creator I could see as a human being. I am not Christian, but more of a Jack Atheist, enjoy the point Athiest make, as long as they are not rude. In fact, the naturalistic aspect of Atheisim in science is very close to my own belief in the Creator. In a ceremony one time, as I went into (ASC) and my vision showed me how Jesus looks and what they did to him. It took me years to get over it. I have seen many things that verify to me personally that the Creator is real. I do not consider this to be a gift or being who I am a gift. A gift to experience this part of life, this demension, but not the ability to know what I know and so forth. I am only afraid of the pain and how I might pass on, not death. I think my Spirit and Soul will unite in one and I will go with my family in the next stage of my life, my journey..... So it is the words of mortal men who turn me away from religions like Islam or Christianity. Not the wise words of Prophets and their visions. Hurting others or persecuting them in Gods name is not what I am into.

I don't fear death because I will not taste death.
I believe the wages of sin are death, and so if I am made clean, I will also not die, but instead will simply shed my flesh like a shedding of skin. Honestly I don't really want my flesh and feel i would be better off with out it.
