I wanted to buy a pug, and then when its about 5 months old it might need to travel to Brazil. I know its unsafe for it to travel on the cargo, and thats why I want it to travel on the cabin with me. THe only problem is that I need the measurements of an avarage pug to make sure it can go on the plane.

So what I need is if you know the avarage or if you just know the measurements of your dog..

Height: ( I think its 10 to 11 inches)
Measure from tail to the head
an the width of it ( if it feels comfortable on a certain pet carrier I plan to get)

If it can comfortably fit in an under seat dog kennel there should be no problem. If it can't than you either have to put in cargo or buy another seat.

Actually you need to be checking with the airlines, and the department of agriculture in Brazil. Many airlines do not allow pets to travel in the cabin; those that do have strict guidelines on the type of carrier you need and they usually charge a fee. When you arrive in Brazil, their laws may say that the animal needs to be quarantined for anywhere from 7 to 28 days. It's very common for animals from other countries to be placed in quarantine. If their quarantine period is long enough, it might not be worth trying to take the dog on the trip in the first place; quarantine is very hard on animals (noisy, smelly, unfamiliar place and you can't visit them) and I would never put my dogs through that!
