I've been trying to lose weight lately, but I gained like 3 pounds in the last few days. I'm expecting my period any day now....is it normal for a woman's weight to go up a few pounds around her period, or did I do something wrong with my diet or something??

i always gain weight before and then lose it about 2 day after i am done. try lots of water before and during it seemed to me that i gained less when i did that. also try to limit salt intake because that will make you retain water and also gain weight.good luck with losing weight.

I always gain a few pounds a day or two before my period then I lose them again about halfway through my period. Its not a big deal, I don't think you did anything wrong, I think its just because some people retain more water right before their period.

Hello!!! it's called PMS (pre-Menstrual Syndrome)
a lot of girls do gain weight before their periods........
Specific symptoms can include abdominal bloating, water retention, slight swelling of breasts, and food cravings. All of these can result in you gaining extra weight.

It could be water retention, which can be a symptom of PMS. Try to avoid salty foods, and make sure you drink plenty of water. (Ironically, drinking water is a way to prevent bloating.)

nope, I don't but I don't think it is abnormal for you to.
You might be under a lot of stress, or it's just your hormones acting up. =P
