Apples are very healthy and they are more likely to help you lose weight instead of gain it. Have one or two a day!

Apples are a helluva lot healthier than any processed snack food, though not as nutritionally rich as other fruits or vegetables. Aside from the skin, there really isn't a lot of nutritional value.

Apples do contain a good deal of fiber, as well as fructose, which is a simple carb. If you have an apple after your soccer, most if not all of that sugar will be used to replenish glycogen stores, so it should not turn into fat. Besides, there isn't THAT much sugar in apples.

An apple a day is just fine -- very healthy. Some people would say "no" because of the natural sugars and carbs ...

But you are an active person, so you really don't have much to worry about in this case. Fruit is a healthy snack.

As long as you eat the skin of the apple too. The skin is healthy , the pectin is a good (soluble)fiber that accompanies the fructose in your system. So your stomach has to contend with the fiber before it can get to the fructose. So no, since the nutrients are bound up in that fiber, the stomach has to work harder to get at the nutrition...you'll be OK

It is not a bad sugar. It is natural sugar which is good for your body to function since it doesn't have chemicals like granulated sugar. If you look at a jug of milk, the nutrition facts show that there is a lot of sugar. I bet you're thinking it doesn't taste sweet, but the thing is that the sugar in it is chemically sugar not according to taste. The reason granulated sugar is not good for you as opposed to natural sugar is that they use artificial chemicals to mimic the mixture's chemical compounds.

Vit A, and they act as a natural teeth cleaner. I cannot think of one person in the world that got fat from eating apples.
