i asked him out but i didn't do it in person a kid in his grade did it 4 me. when he 1st asked him he didn't believe my friend. then the 2nd he waited a while then said no. so should i ask him in person?

Yes. Ask him out in person. It can be really annoying when people ask you out for them. Asking in person shows you aren't cowardly and that you like them enough to be put in a slightly vulnerable position for them. Good luck!

It would be better if you asked him in person , not only is it more personal but you can get a clue by his eye to eye contact with you if he is genuine. Do not be discouraged but dont get your hopes too high so you dont get hurt.

In person would be the best idea. If someone does it for you, that means they ARE you and can speak for you. Never let anyone else speak for you.

he might have only said no because he didnt know if you were serious or not, you should ask him in person unless you really think he'll say no
